Our 4-part Guiding Farmers to Legal Resilience webinar series covers 4 core legal subject areas, including business structures, land purchasing and leasing, insurance and liability, and employment law. We explain the core “action steps” or legal best management practices that advisors should recommend to help farmers reduce risk.
You’ll learn how to identify legal scenarios, prevent legal problems, and how to direct farm clients to solutions when problems do occur. A print guide will also provide participants with a resource to return to, as well as information that's easily shareable with farmers as needed.
This workshop does not train participants to become legal experts or give legal counsel. Rather, it trains them to identify how to prevent legal issues from developing, to offer basic legal background on the subject, and to direct the farmer towards appropriate resolution of issues. This webinar is not intended for farmers. We have several regional farmer workshops this winter- look for them.
