Farm Commons is adding a new communications-based team member to our small but mighty crew! If you are passionate about what we do, we would love to hear from you. Although an official position announcement and job description is still in development, we encourage a diverse audience to pitch us with their skills and qualities. Please, let us know why you want to work with us and what you feel you could contribute to achievement of our mission.

This new position is firmly grounded in communications. From creating and running outreach campaigns, to providing member support, to writing plain languages guides, delivering presentations, or drafting narratives for instructional videos, we need someone who is excited about conversations.  Experience in the agricultural community and with diverse audiences is a major bonus. A person with attention to detail, process orientation, and tech savvy would complement our current staff. We have a strong preference for 32 hours per week or more, but will consider other possibilities. The work is fully remote and we welcome folks from any part of the United States to reach out.

An official position description will be distributed in early September. Applicants can expect the official announcement to contain a salary as well as a detailed account of our desired skills and qualities for those that work better within a traditional application format.
